My recipe is simple and rapid and usually…very successful 😋.

Lori’s apple pie

Autumn is the time of apples and the scent of my apple pie is what reminds me of grandmother, mother and home.

1kg rennet apples
2 eggs
250g of 00 flour
70g of sugar
50g butter
50g milk
1 sachet of vanillin
1 sachet of baking powder

Step by step procedure:

In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla, add the milk and then the sifted flour with baking powder. Finally the melted butter, but not hot.
In the dough, add a peeled apple made into thin cubes.
Put the dough in a pan for pies 24cm, level it and cover it with apple slices arranged in a spiral, making sure that the slices overlap a little.
Bake for 40′ at 180°C in a ventilated oven.

If you like, you can finish the cake, once cooked, with jelly or with a sprinkling of icing sugar, perhaps even flavored with cinnamon.
